Welcome
The Ark Trust Ltd (Reg. Charity No. 1098204) is a charity that enhances the lives of people with learning disabilities, physical disabilities and sensory impairment, by means of access to and participation in the arts. It also houses the Dis:Course project which provides information, advice and support for people with disabilities and those that support them.
We are always looking to expand the range of opportunites, some of our future plans include:
- Childrens Sessions
- Multi-Sensory Stories
- Music
- Theatre Trips and other Days Out
Visit our website regularly to find out about the exciting events we have lined up and for the latest news and details.
The Ark is an educational arts and disability charity with a studio and office complex within Norwood’s Ravenswood Village. Although a separate charity we work closely with Ravenswood’s Lifestyle Opportunities Department and another organisation on site, the Karten CTEC Centre, who provide Computer-aided Training, Education & Communication.
Please contact the Ark office direct for any further information, taster visits and enrolment details. We are open 10am-3pm weekdays (excluding Tuesdays) If the timings of sessions are not convenient and you have a small group, we can also arrange alternative sessions and other arts based activities at our studio or in a community setting. One-to-One sessions can also be arranged if necessary.
Many of the courses are part of a contract with Bracknell Forest Council as part of their Adult & Community Learning provision and as such are inspected and the activities are planned, structured and evaluated.
