DJ Workshop

Who is this for?
For people who want to learn the basic skills to perform and make music as a DJ.

What will I learn?

How to use DJ equipment such as mixers, CD decks and microphones
To experience and recognize different genres or types of music
DJ skills such as scratching, mixing and beat-matching
Develop and maintain hand-eye co-ordination and other motor skills
Maintain and improve social skills and communication
Self expression and creativity
Develop basic numeracy skills

Entry requirements for this session
Open to all people, but if you need extra support bring someone to help you in the session.

How will I learn?
You will be supported by a professional DJ. The course will give individuals the opportunity to work at their own level and pace within the group.

What will I need to bring with me?
Bring music CD’s which you would like to use in the making and recording of your DJ set.
