We work with people with disabilities, long-term health conditions, carers, and young people who are not in education, employment, or training in Bracknell Forest.

We are a user-led organisation which means 75% of our trustee board are people who could use our services.

We support people with information, advice, and advocacy.
We provide activities to stop people feeling lonely, and encourage people to improve their health and well-being.

Activities - Get more active and social with the ARK
Friday Night Project
A long standing social event/disco every Friday evening at a community venue in Wokingham.
Night Owls
For adults who say NO to early nights, and want to go out to fun evening events and activities
Out and About
Building people's confidence in getting out and about with regular trips and activities
Out and About
Getting out and about in the community to improve activity, confidence and wellbeing.
Friday Night Project
A weekly disco and social night for people with disabilities who are aged 18+.
Night Owls
Supporting people with a learning disability or autism stay up late, if they want to.
Show Stoppers
Fun term-time activities including singing, dancing and drama games suitable for all.
Project 73
A social group for autistic adults.
Support
If you receive support, you may need to bring them along to some of Ark's events and activities
Sessions - Get crafty and creative with the ARK
Crafty Coffee
Term-time staff-led arts and crafts
All materials and refreshments supplied.
Carers' Craft
A chance for unpaid and family carers to enjoy some creative time, relax, make new friends, and get some support.
Knit and Natter
Come along to knit and natter with our friendly, welcoming group. No knitting (or crochet) experience necessary!
For the over 55's at the ARK
Warm Welcome
A safe and welcoming social session for the over 55s. A place to come and socialise and access information, advice, and support.
Memory Makers
A social group for people who are over 55 with a learning disability. People are currently experiencing problems with transport. While we explore different options, this session is currently paused.
Dementia Drop-In
Run in partnership with Bracknell's Dementia Advisory Service. Come along if you're a carer of, or someone living with dementia

Green Machine
Taking a break in 2026
Our volunteers work at festivals and events, collecting rubbish and recycling while getting plenty of free time to enjoy the event.
